Acanthus belongs to a plant named Blepharis edulis Pers. It is usually found in India, Pakistan, and Iran, as well as in Egypt. Soft grey hairs cover the tiny plant. It contains many ragged leaves that have tickles attached to them. The of its color flowers is yellowish. Its capsules are made up of two heart-shaped seeds that are brownish as well as smooth and shining.
